(LOS ANGELES) -- The family of a 54-year-old woman and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating the woman, who went missing Monday.

Eileen Thompson reportedly suffers from a mild case of schizophrenia. She was last seen leaving her home in the 100 block of South Hobart Boulevard in Los Angeles at about 7 p.m.

She is described as a Chinese woman with black hair and brown eyes. She is 4-feet-11 inches tall and weighs 95 pounds. She was last seen wearing a baseball cap with the American flag on the bill, a dark jacket and knee-length denim shorts.

Anyone who has seen Thompson or has any information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit, Detective Alma Mercado, at 213-996-1800.
