(LOS ANGELES) -- A 20-year-old was arrested Monday night and could face theft charges after stealing money from a Girl Scout troop.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Girl Scout Troop 1303 was selling cookies in front of a grocery store in Phelan on Sunday when Colin Sawyer reportedly rode past them on a skateboard and stole over $550 in cookie money.
One of the Girl Scouts ran after Sawyer and fell, suffering minor scrapes and scratches, according to the Times.
After police released a surveillance video of the Sunday theft, Sawyer was spotted near a gas station in Phelan and was taken into custody without incident.
