(LOS ANGELES) -- Los Angeles Police Department officers saved the life of a 75-year-old woman in Topanga Friday afternoon.
According to a police report, Officers Paul Maldonado and Kurt Logan were waved to the scene by a pizza restaurant employee when the elderly woman began choking inside the restaurant. When the officers got to the restaurant, they found the woman unconscious and non-responsive on the ground.
The officers began administering CPR immediately. Several minutes later, Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue personnel arrived and continued treatment. They then transported the woman to a local hospital where she was revived, according to the police.
The woman is still in the hospital recovering, but is breathing on her own.
