BOOMER listeners consider Christopher James to be the perfect gentleman. After all, he takes thousands of Ventura, Santa Barbara and West Los Angeles County residents to work. Then, like the perfect gentleman, “C.J.” brings them back home in the afternoon.

With twenty-one years of on-air experience, Christopher James is more than just a traffic reporter. In fact, no one knows more about Ventura County and Southland traffic than C.J. Christopher provides BOOMER listeners with thirty-six live traffic reports each weekday.

C.J. is a vital part of “Lee Marshall’s Class Reunion” show every weekday morning. He then returns with six traffic reports each hour during The Boomer’s afternoon hours.

To say that Christopher James is a just traffic reporter is like saying Elvis is just a singer. C.J. brings BOOMER listeners Ventura County’s only award winning traffic reports. Christopher has been honored with numerous “Golden Mike Awards” from The Southern California Broadcasters Association as well as “Best Broadcast of the Year” awards from The Associated Press and The Radio & Television News Association.

In addition to his award winning BOOMER Traffic Reports, C.J. is the Producer of the nationally syndicated “Group Room” radio program. The Group Room focuses on Cancer and supports cancer survivors and their families with emotional comfort and the latest information from the world’s top physicians and researchers.

Not only do you hear Christopher on the radio, but also he recently appeared as the ring announcer on the internationally syndicated “W-O-W” television show. Chances are also good that you’ll see C.J. performing at area clubs and events. He is an accomplished keyboard player and is always looking for an opportunity to play his version of “Green Onions”. When not behind a microphone or the keys of a piano or organ, C.J. can be found at various golf courses where he burns up the local links as a “scratch?” golfer.

THE BOOMER’s Lee Marshall calls C.J. “A hundred-eighty pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal”. On a more serious note, Lee says, “I have never worked with a traffic reporter as talented, committed and personable as Christopher James. He is one of the very best and most informative traffic and emergency news reporters in broadcasting today, and besides that, he has one the quickest and funniest minds in radio.”

Although a proud native son of The Garden State of New Jersey, C.J. traded in his life at the Jersey Shore for his home in Camarillo, which he shares with a pair of assertive guinea pigs.

You can catch Christopher on the airwaves each weekday Monday - Friday on the Lee Marshall Class Reunion morning show and in the evenings for your drive home
